It saddens me to have to report the sudden and unexpected demise of Mike Thompson, husband, father, delegate, player and friend.
Mike, along with Ann your Treasurer, have been involved with the League for many years, mostly, but not exclusively, playing from the Millrace and always had a smile on his face on pool nights.
People who have known him over the years will remember a quick-witted, intelligent, all round “good bloke”.
Personally I’ll remember a mate and home team captain who always enjoyed having a laugh, playing pool and helping folk in any way he could.
Mike will be missed but not forgotten.
