*** One Frame Knockout 4th July***
Its almost time for our first league event night of the season, the on frame KO, typically the hardest tournament to win with money paid out on the night to the winner. Entry is £2 per player and after last year having it all at one venue meant it was a late night, so this year it is split across 2 venues, Prem section at the Baize and Div 1 section at the Plaza, the split for this is as follows-
If you play for a top 5 team, you must play at the baize –
Baize Tavern
Red Baize Rev
Bucknall Ex
Green Baize
Oggys Bar
The rest of the league can play at the Plaza with the caveat that you can play at the baize with the big boys if you prefer a challenge…
The singles tournament will be ran to a double elimination format, this means that every player can afford to lose one game throughout the night, every game is one frame and you will lag for the break.
This is deemed to be a league feature so I expect a good turnout, last year we averaged 4.3 players per team so I expect similar numbers but with having 2 venues the night should go through at a much faster pace,
May run a speed pool tournament on one table again if there is interest,
