The AGM and Acceptance meeting took place yesterday and I am pleased to announce that the league will be going ahead with at least 8 teams, I just wanted to share rule changes with the players along with the International Rules document attached. I will also upload a short video explaining International Rules later today.
- League matches to be played to World Rules with a view to moving to International next season
- To help the transition, all cup games, Singles merits and Doubles merits will be played to International Rules
- 8 ball clearance is deemed so on a break dish, when a player breaks and clears the table, or a reverse dish, where a player clears the table from the opponents break.
- League Format is moving to 10 frames per match with 2 points per win and 1 point per draw, still 3 players minimum but one player can play 4 frames if required.
- Ultimate Pool app, players pay their £1 registration and download the app themselves, supported by team captains, who will be supported by committee.
- County Player rule – 1 county player per team still, but a county player can play 3 frames and can’t play 4th frame if change to 10
Trent Trophies Tuesday Leagues first meeting will be held on Sunday September 4th so please ensure that if any other teams wish to play, they get in touch ASAP, League will commence early September and I will finalise fixtures after the presentation. The Presentation evening will be held at Abbey Sports and Social Club on 19th August
