The Chairman streamed the live draw to the Facebook Group then posted the following:-
A reminder that the singles merits begins with round 1 on Tuesday the 15th May,
Anyone who needs to rearrange must play the first match before the night and the second match before the next league meeting at the end of the month so please contact your opponents asap, outside of these rules you will be struck out !
Whichever pairing arrives at the venue first to play first, best to get going as soon as possible as all matches at this stage are best of 5 and lag for first break !
Rules Below –
All Merits Matches must take place at the stipulated venue on the allotted date (unless rearranged as per above). If the Committee discover that a match has been played at a different venue a severe fine will be imposed on the players concerned.
All players must be playing in our League on a regular basis (50% of the season) up to the quarter final stage of any Merits Competition or that player will be excluded from it.
All winners must phone their result through to the Secretary/Chairman no later than 8-00pm on the evening following their match. Failure to do so will result in a £5 in the first instance. (Note a sent text is not confirmation of a received text).
Failure to phone a result through a second time will result in immediate expulsion from that Merits Competition.
Failure to attend a Merits Match without informing both your opponent(s) and the Chairman at least 24 hours in advance will result in a £10 fine and immediate expulsion from that Merits Competition.
A reminder that each group/venue is down to one winner, all losers who are none county players will go into the sub merits,
