Please be aware that the Alma have had to pull out of the league due to pub closure, this means that all their results so far in the second half of the season and results going forwards will be 14-4 and will essentially become a bye.
Champs League and Champs Shield – 10th October
This will essentially be a 3 man knockout with all monies paid out on the night, this will be single elimination with a group stage to ensure value for money, in the event that frame difference is the same along with wins for teams in the group stage then a blackball shootout will occur, players will have 1 shot each at the spotted black from anywhere behind the line, if all have potted then sudden death occurs, with both the cue ball and the black on their spots,
players can play with players from other teams to make up a 3 if required,
as the tournament progresses the best of 3 matches will have a lag for first break then alternate format and also be played on 2 tables side by side where possible to ensure that the rounds progress,
if you play for Baize Tavern, Red Baize or Bucknall you must play at Green Baize and contest the main Champions League and any other team in the league can choose to play at the Plaza to enter the Champions Shield or can play at the Baize to mix it with the ‘big boys’ if they prefer,
this is a league fixture and is expected to be well attended so please ensure that your teams turn up, I will be chasing to see how many teams you all have in due course the entry fee is £3 per player so £9 per team, again, all monies paid out on the night.
