The Chairman reported the following on Facebook:-
Lads firstly I want to say thank you to all who attended, I can only speak for the prem section, the night certainly had a few spills with some big players going out early, Si Shone was the player to beat after making the chairman need to play a one frame match to reach the final beating me 2-0, after steph johannson, going a long way for a div 1 player, missed a black and left Richard Haslam in total contol, rich won and earned himself a 1 frame match vs Jamie Latham, I played an horrific snooker leaving rich a black tight on the top rail with a middle pocket in the way of a natural double, Rich managing an horrific pot to reach the final, the lads agreed to play only one game as it was for charity and Simon won with a great performance out of 15 players,
The speed pool, however, ended up taking a huge £68, Steven Trigger Finney with a solid time of 55.75 seconds eventually being beaten by Curtis Redfern with 53.60
At the other end of the City 19 entrants played down with 2 Plaza players making the final, I. Yates beating S. Cooper to take the pot with £50 going into the kitty for Abby, adding money from cards that have been run over the last 2 events giving a total of £113 from that end with a similar amount from the prem event (will post full figures later) making a good sum for the Dougie Mac.
