The first result of the night went to T.A. ( Waffa ) Cliffe ( Oggys Bar ), taking the Landlords/Delegates Final 4-2 over M. O’Sullivan ( Bradeley ).
In a close fought Sub Single Merits, C. Latham ( Red Baize ) took the title in the last frame from D. ( Smudger ) Smith ( Beverley ) 4-3.
The Singles Merits Final ( an excellent tactical battle ) also went to the last frame after Lee Edwards ( Crompos ), having knocked in the only eightball clearance of the night, levelled the match. The final frame went to T.A. ( Waffa ) Cliffe ( Oggys Bar ), gaining him his second title of the evening. 4-3
The last match of the night was M. O’Sullivan & S. Cotton ( Bradeley ) v M. Stewart & A. Crompton ( Crompos ) in the Doubles Merits Final. After some grinding frames M. Stewart & A. Crompton won 4-2.
The standard of pool throughout the evening was excellent and all the players involved deserve credit for their efforts.
