***NEW SEASON BEGINS TUESDAY 6TH MARCH***<\/p>\n
Firstly we are beginning the year with 12 teams which is a nice number, welcome to our new teams and goodbye for now to those who have pulled out,<\/p>\n
The league runners are, in no particular order:-<\/p>\n
Hollybush<\/p>\n
Crewe Arms<\/p>\n
The Vine<\/p>\n
Green Baize<\/p>\n
Plaza Pool<\/p>\n
Village Tavern<\/p>\n
Baize Tavern<\/p>\n
Ye Olde Manor<\/p>\n
Red Baize Reloaded<\/p>\n
Oggys Bar<\/p>\n
The Bradeley<\/p>\n
Millrace<\/p>\n
The League Season will begin on the 6th March with Round One of the K.O. Cup, both Red Baize and Baize Tavern are excluded from entering the Sub K.O. Cup due to being seeded teams, the K.O. Cup is played as League format, i.e. home and away, with a Captain\u2019s game being played at the first drawn venue played first to avoid a draw.<\/p>\n
The draw for the cup is as follows –<\/p>\n
Hollybush vs Green Baize<\/p>\n
Red Baize Reloaded vs Village Tavern<\/p>\n
Oggys Bar vs The Vine<\/p>\n
The Bradeley vs Millrace<\/p>\n
Baize Tavern vs Crewe Arms<\/p>\n
Plaza vs Ye Olde Manor<\/p>\n
The following week (13th<\/sup> March) will see the start of the Secretary\u2019s Cup, this one is played at the first drawn venue, 6 singles, 3 scotch doubles, drawn from the hat so first to 5 wins, again, Red Baize and Baize Tavern are exclude from entering the Sub Sec\u2019s Cup.<\/p>\n The draw for the cup is as follows –<\/p>\n Green Baize vs Plaza Pool<\/p>\n Baize Tavern vs The Vine<\/p>\n Crewe Arms vs The Bradeley<\/p>\n Red Baize Reloaded vs Village Tavern<\/p>\n Millrace vs Oggys Bar<\/p>\n Ye Olde Manor vs Hollybush<\/p>\n The third week (20th<\/sup> March) will be a singles event night, due to interest on a poll within the Facebook Group, we will run a singles event. At Plaza it will be played to World Rules, at the Green Baize we will run our first Blackball Pool event, played to Blackball Rules, all players have the opportunity to play in either event, the aim will be to have a group stage to get your money\u2019s worth and will be \u00a32-\u00a33 entry, I will be uploading a video soon explaining the few small differences with the only goal being giving you all the option to make an educated decision on the best rule set, more to follow on this event night\u2026<\/p>\n Finally, on March 27th, you will play the first League game, this is the Tuesday after the Presentation and full fixtures will be available in due course.<\/p>\n Secretary\u2019s note \u2013 Good luck to all for the new Season, now I know the runners & riders I will get the fixtures up to the Facebook Group and website soon, and issue paper copies of the League Fixtures 2018 at the League Meeting on 25th<\/sup> March.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Here we go again ….
