{"id":2320,"date":"2017-06-08T00:21:09","date_gmt":"2017-06-07T23:21:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.trenttrophiespool.co.uk\/Tuesday\/?p=2320"},"modified":"2017-06-08T00:21:09","modified_gmt":"2017-06-07T23:21:09","slug":"singles-merits-round-one","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.trenttrophiespool.co.uk\/Tuesday\/?p=2320","title":{"rendered":"Singles Merits Round One"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Chairman posted to the Facebook group:-<\/p>\n<p>A great opening round with a couple of giants killed in round 1 which will ensure that the sub merits will be interesting again, it\u2019s a harsh format to get through the group but I guess you\u2019ve got to beat everyone if you want to win it regardless !<\/p>\n<p>with regards the sub merits there are 39 losers in total, I need to know of anyone who didn\u2019t turn up as if I wasn\u2019t made aware before the match last night they will not be allowed to enter the sub merits, also for the sub merits to work we require that number to go down to 32\u2026 so if you lost and don\u2019t want to enter the sub merits or are going to be away on the date 28th November please let me know and it will really help with the logistics J<\/p>\n<p>Remember the next round will be last 16 and last 8 played at the clubs with the semi and final played on finals night, where the sub merits will go round the pubs again down to 8 then the quarter, semi and final will be played on finals night.<\/p>\n<p>So on to the action !<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>@ OGGYS<\/p>\n<p>A. Wragge a blackball rules player by trade was done on the rules by C Latham of players, and The favourite for this group Andy Mullock had smoked Mick Davies of the plaza within minutes 3-0, following that hammered out a 3-1 win against Chris Latham, only losing 1 frame having potted the black and white together.<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>@ GREEN BAIZE 2<\/p>\n<p>K. ROWLEY<\/p>\n<p>WINNER VS WINNER<\/p>\n<p>No surprises here, Barnish of the Madeley made Hughes take an early shower, Latham of Red Baize them fired of 6 rockets in a row with back to back 3-0 wins to pull last year\u2019s semi-finalist through comfortably<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>@ GREEN BAIZE 3<\/p>\n<p>R. Moors won the first game with a solid 3-1 victory, only to then come up against Red Baize team mate Danny Jones, this was always going to be a very tough game for both players, Danny Jones nicking a 3-2 win to sneak through<\/p>\n<p>&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;-<\/p>\n<p>@ GREEN BAIZE 4<\/p>\n<p>M.
