T T A Awesome fight back !

Our two teams produced a stunning match in the Staffs superleague
on friday - at the start of play, our teams found themselves first and second and met head to head at Players. The "B" team ripped through the front order and were making all the noise as they stormed in to a 7-0 lead - Daz Lightfoot and Daz Shone at last registered two frames for the "A" team - to say it was a match of two halves was an understatement as the "A" team came storming back to get to 8-6 and once their tails were up they produced four stunning last frames with 8 balls from Lee Kendall, Steve Bridgwood, Daz Shone and a 7 ball by Daz Lightfoot over Jamie Symonds to take the match 10-8 in a unbelievable fightback. . .

T T "A" STORM INTO 11th FINAL

Our superleague teams were in action in Great Yarmouth last weekend in the National Superleague finals - our "B" team crashed out in the first K O stage after winning their group via a playoff. while the "A" team played some sublime pool to reach their 11th final. In the group stages Trent were pitted against Hertfordshire and started as they ment to go on with a first frame 8 ball by Adam Davis running out 17-1 winners with some attacking open pool, next they beat Surrey 10-3 and then Clacton 10-5 in the first knock out stage. on the sunday morning - the last 16, they were dealt a tough tie against Staffordshire rivals Afford League, with the match only lasting 32 minutes and five 8 balls Afford were blown away with some awesome pool and a 10-1 win put Trent into the quarters in record time. Norfolk were then despatched 10-2 - onto the semis Trent trailed 5-1 before uping a gear and running out 10-7 victors over Preston South. In the final were waiting P J Stourbridge who had just comfortably beaten Leicester - Trent were off to a flyer leading 3-0 and 5-2 but Stourbridge came storming back and led 9-8 before Steve "the Doc" Bridgwood took out the last frame to level the match, this ment a three way play off Gaz Potts, Lee Kendall & Jimmy Croxton represented Trent but it was Stourbridge who came out on top to win the title for the first time ...........
